-3y-4=12y-48+8

-3y-4=12y-34

add 4 to the both side of equation

-3y-4+4= 12y-34+4

-3y =12y-30

-3y-12y=12y-30-12y

-15y=-30

-15 y /-15 = -30/-15

simplify

y=2
