if u want to know molarity then ..____////
weight of NaOH = 4 gms
molar mass of NaOH = 40 gms
Since there is no mention of solute ‘s (NaOH's) density (which is required to find NaOH ‘s volume) and solute's quantity is very less also , that ‘s why , we consider that
volume of solution ~ volume of solvent (water) ~ 500 cm³ or 500 ml or 500/1000 litres or 0.5lit.
Put values in equation (2) , we get ,
Moles = 4/40 = 0.1 mole
Now , put values in equation (1) to get molarity of solution
Molarity = 0.1/0.5 = 0.2 molar
weight of NaOH = 4 gms
molar mass of NaOH = 40 gms
