Answer :

Let, f (x) = 4^3 + 4 x^2 - px + 8

Since, (x - 2) is a factor of f (x),

f (2) = 0

=> 4^3 + 4 (2)^2 - (p × 2) + 8 = 0

=> 64 + (4 × 4) - 2p + 8 = 0

=> 2p = 64 + 16 + 8

=> 2p = 84

=> p = 42

Therefore, the value of p is 42.

Hello Dear!!!!

Here's your answer..

Let,

f(x) = 4^3 + 4x^2 - px +8

Zero of (x-2) is

x-2=0

x = 2

(x-2) divides f(x)

f(2) = 0

f(2) = 4^3 + 4(2)^2 - p(2) +8

0 = 64 + 4(4) - 2p +8

0 = 64+16+8-2p

2p = 88

p = 88/2

p = 44

The value of p is 44.
