4 + 3 = 16 - 9 = 7

6 + 4 = 36 - 16 = 20

7 + 2 = 49 - 4 = 45

9 + 7 = 81 - 49 = 32

As we can observe that here,

a + b means a^2 - b^2

So,

3 + 1 = 9 - 1 = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

(4+3)(4-3)=1

(6+4)(6-4)=20

(7+2)(7-2)=45

(9+7)(9-7)=32

(3+1)(3-1)=8
