 - 4 + ( - 7) =  - 11 \ \: how?

\color{blue}{ANSWER}

When Negative sign get multiply by positive sign it always give Negative ( - x + = - )

So, by that we have:

=>  - 4 + ( - 7) =  - 11

=>  - 4 - 7 =  - 11

Negative will get add with Negative, we get:

=>  - 11 =  - 11

Hence, L.H.S = R.H.S
