v= 20 ms¹

u=0.5

g=9.8

u=f/g =ma/mg =a/g

a=ug = 0.5 ×9.8 = 4.90 (approx)

by using v²- u² =2as

(20)²-(0)²=2×4.90×s

s=(20)²/2×4.90= 400/2×4.90

=40.81 m is the answer
