vertical component = F × Cos@ because angle made with vertical
= 5× cos60° = 5×1/2 = 2.5N

hey mate!

--------------

see brother answer is D =2.5

how??

see as it is along the vertical so we will take the component along it!!

as it is base/hypotenuse it will be

FCOS60°

GOT IT??

so i will write force 5 as it is given

so this will become, 5cos60°

and cos60° is a standard value 1/2

putting it in equation,

5/2

which gives

2.5

thanks!!

answer is in Newton;(N)

vibhavasiddi28: ya
vibhavasiddi28: it is along vertical component right?
vibhavasiddi28: so why will is not be sine 60
vibhavasiddi28: coz?
