4. A rectangle is 22 m long and 12 m wide. From its four corners, quadrants of radius 2.5 m have been
cut. Find the area of the remaining part.

Answer:

area of rectangle=(l×b)

=22×12

=264m sq

area of quadrant=area of circle/4

= 2πr/4

=(2×22/7×2.5)/4

=25/7

=3.57m sq

area of remaining part = area of rectangle-area of quadrant

= 264-3.57

=260.43 m sq
