To Find:- Diameter of Base

Formula for TSA of cylinder = 2πr(r + h)

r(r + h) = \frac{112\pi }{2\pi }

r(r + h) = 56

r(r + 10) = 56

r^{2} + 10r = 56

{r}^2 + 10r - 56 = 0

{r}^2 - 4r + 14r - 56 = 0 [by factorisation]

r(r - 4) + 14(r - 4) = 0 \\(r + 14)(r - 4) = 0 \\r - 4 = 0 \\r = 4

Diameter = 2r

= 2(4)

= 8 units
