Answer:

Breadth of rope is 32 cm and side of square is 45 cm. Also area of square is greater then area of rectangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Length of rope = 28 cm

area of rectangle = 896 cm²

To find,

Breath of rope = ?

side of square = ?

Solution,

area of rectangle = length × breadth

896 = 28 × breadth

breadth = 896/ 28

breadth = 32 cm

Now,

perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square. (1)

perimeter of rectangle = 2× (length + breadth)

= 2× ( 28+ 32)

= 2× 60

perimeter of rectangle = 180cm

perimeter of square = 4× side

180 = 4 × side. (By (1) )

side = 180/4

side = 45cm

Area of square = side × side

= 45×45

= 2025 cm²

2025 is greater then 896

therefore area of square is greater then area of rectangle.
