4. A shopkeeper allows a discount of 10% on the marked price of goods and still manages to get a profit of 25 % . what is the actual cost to him of an article marked at ₹2000 ?​

Answer:

MP = 250

Discount = 10% of MP = 25

SP = MP - Discount

= 250 - 25 = 225

Since he is making 25% profit on goods sold, then SP represents 125% of CP.

=> 125/100 x CP = 225

=> CP =225 x 100/125 = 180
