A Shopkeeper bought a chair Rs.375 and sold it for Rs.400.Find the gain percent ?

\\

  \large{ \boxed{ \orange{ \tt{To \:  find :}}}}

  • Gain percentage

\\

  \large{ \boxed{ \green{ \tt{ Given:}}}}

  • CP of chair= Rs.37.5
  • SP of chair =Rs 400

\\

  \large{ \boxed{ \tt{ \blue{Answer:}}}}

To find Gain percentage first we have to find Gain.

\\

==>Gain=SP-CP

==>Gain=400-375

==>Gain=Rs 75 ✔

\\

Now Let's find Gain percentage:

 \sf{ :\implies Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{gain}{cp} \times 100 }

 \sf{ :\implies Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{75}{375} \times 100 }

 \sf{:\implies Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{100}{5} }

 \sf{:\implies Gain\:Percentage =20\% ✔}

\\

  \large{ \boxed{ \tt{Formula\:Used:}}}

  • \sf{\blue{Gain=SP-CP}}
  •  \sf{ \blue{Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{gain}{cp} \times 100 }}

————————————————————————

Or

Can also be done directly:

\\

 \sf{ :\implies Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{cp-sp}{cp} \times 100 }

 \sf{ :\implies Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{400-375}{375} \times 100 }

 \sf{ :\implies Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{75}{375} \times 100 }

 \sf{:\implies Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{100}{5} }

 \sf{:\implies Gain\:Percentage =20\% ✔}

\\

  \large{ \boxed{ \tt{Formula\:Used:}}}

  •  \sf{ \green{Gain\:Percentage =\dfrac{cp-sp}{cp} \times 100 }}

Answer:

CP = ₹37.50

SP = ₹400.00

Profit/Gain = 400-37.5 = ₹362.5

Profit % = 362.5/37.5 ×100 = 966 2/3%

-------------------------------------------------------

Cp = ₹375

Sp= ₹400

Profit = 400 - 375 = ₹25

Profit% = 25×100/375 =  6 2/3%
