While solutions of compounds like alcohol and glucose do not form any such ions so they do not show acidic characters.

b)Table salt is sodium chloride and some minute quantities of magnesium chloride. These salts are hygroscopic in nature resulting in absorbing moisture from the surroundings so it becomes sticky during rainy season.
