4 Anil spent 2/5 of his pocket money and had rs. 180 left. Find the amount Anil received as pocket money.

Suppose Anil's pocket money was ₹x

He \: spent \:  \frac{2}{5}  \: of \:  x =  \frac{2}{5}  \times ₹x = ₹ \frac{2x}{5}  \\  \\ money \: left \: with \: him \:  = ₹x - ₹ \frac{2x}{5}  \\

₹180 = ₹( x \times \frac{2x}{5} ) \\  \\ 180 =  \frac{5x - 2x}{5}  =  \frac{3x}{5}  \\ x =  \frac{180 \times 5}{3}  = 300

Hence, Anil received ₹300 as pocket money
