• He was borin in Calicut n 26th November 1921 and he studied Mechanical Engineering in the University of Madras.
• After his graduation, he planned to study MS degree at USA. He has got Government scholarship and went to USA and finished his MS in distinction.
• Dr.Verghese Kurien is very much interested in sports also. He was good in Cricket, Tennis and Boxing.
