Hi ,
Given A.P is
√2 , 3√2 , 5√2 , ...
first term = a = √2
common difference ( d ) = a2 - a1
d = 3√2 - √2
d = 2√2
***************************************
We know that ,
If first term , common difference of the A.P
be a and d respectively ,
nth term = an = a + ( n - 1 )d
**********************************************
Here ,
n = 12 , a = √2 , d = 2√2
a12 = a + 11d
= √2 + 11 × 2√2
= √2 + 22√2
= 23√2
Therefore ,
12th term of given A.P = a12 = 23√2
I hope this helps you.
