perimeter of triangle =sum of all sides of triangle. So, let the third side be x

        10+18+x=42

          28+x=42

                x=42-28

                 x=14

therefore,third side =14cm.

area of triangle =1/2×breadth ×height

we know that,

the hypotenous is the largest side of the triangle,therefore 18cm is the hypotenous of the given triangle. So the breadth and height of the triangle are 10 cm and 14 cm. are of the given triangle =1/2×10×14

                                        = 5×14

                                        =70cm^2
