Length = 22 m

Breadth = 3 m

Area = lb = 22 × 3 = 66sq.m

Length = 18 m

Breadth = 3 m

Area = lb = 18 × 3 = 54sq.m

Side = 3 m

Area = S × S = 3 × 3 = 9sq.m

(66 - 9) sq.m = 57 sq.m

(54 - 9) sq.m = 45 sq.m

Total area the shaded part covers = 57 sq.m + 9 sq.m + 45 sq.m = 111 sq.m
