2x+y=5 ---> eqn (1)

3x-2y=4 ----> eqn (2)

from (1),

y=5-2x

putting y=5-2x in (2) we get,

3x-2(5-2x)=4

=>3x-10+4x=4

=>7x-10=4

=>7x=14

=>x=14/7

=> x=2

then, y=5-2×2=5-4=1

hence x=2

y=1
