Final Answer :  x=3,y=0

Steps:
1)  We have,
 [tex] \left[\begin{array}{cc}1&2\\3&3\end{array}\right] \times \left[\begin{array}{cc}x&0\\0&y\end{array}\right] = \left[\begin{array}{cc}x&0\\9&0\end{array}\right] \\ \\ \\ \\ =\ \textgreater \ \left[\begin{array}{cc}(1*x+2*0)&(1*0+2*y)\\(3*x+3*0)&(3*0+3*y)\end{array}\right] = \left[\begin{array}{cc}x&0\\9&0\end{array}\right] \\ \\ \\ \\ =\ \textgreater \ \left[\begin{array}{cc}x&2y\\3x&3y\end{array}\right] =\left[\begin{array}{cc}x&0\\9&0\end{array}\right] \\ \\ \\ [/tex]

On Comparing Both sides,
3x=9 =>x=3
And
3y=0 => y=0   & 2y=0 => y=0

Hence ,
\boxed{x=3, y=0 }

Corresponding elements are

equal ,

i ) 3x = 9

=> x = 9/3 = 3 ,

ii ) 3y = 0

=> y = 0

Therefore ,

x = 3 , y = 0
