No. of moles = Given mass / Molar mass = 4 /40 = 0.1 moles

Volume = 200 mL

In L , 200 / 1000 = 0.2 L

Molarity = No. of moles / Volume (in L)

= 0.1 / 0.2 = 0.5 mol/L
