x^2 - 7x + 3 = 2x^2 - 6x - x +3

= 2x ( x-3 ) -1 ( x-3 )

= ( 2x-1 ) ( x-3)

x= 1/2 , x= 3

p = 1/2 , q= 3

= p^2 + q^2

= (1/2)^2 + (3)^2

= 1/4 + 9

= 1+36/4

= 37/4.

Given: f(x)=2x^2-7x+3

= 2x^2 - 6x -x +3

= 2x(x-3) -1(x-3)

=(2x-1)(x-3)

Hence, x=3 & x=1/2. 0r p=3 & q=1/2

Therefore, p^2 + q^2 = 3×3 + 1/2×1/2 = 9 + 1/4 = 37/4
