The ratio of his savings to his income is 1: 8.

Given: Mr. Bilal has a monthly income of Rs 7200 and expenditures of Rs 6300 per month.

To Find: The ratio of his savings to his income.

Solution:

We know that savings are the difference between income and expenditure.

The monthly income is = Rs 7200

The monthly expenditure is = Rs 6300

So, the monthly savings is = Rs. ( 7200 - 6300 )

                                            = Rs. 900

So, the ratio of savings to income = 900 / 7200

                                                         = 1 / 8

                                                         = 1 : 8

Hence, the ratio of his savings to his income is 1: 8.
