30% of those attended failed
Failed% = 30/100 * 96 = 28.8%
% passed= 96-28.8 = 67.2%
Given that number of candidates passed = 336
67.2% = 336
1% = 336/67.2 = 5
100%(total students) = 5*100 = 500
Total number of candidates were 500
