Let one number be x

the other number will be 50-x

1/x + 1/(50-x)= 1/12

50-x+x = x(50-x)/12

600 = 50x-x^2

x^2-50x+600=0

x^2-30x-20x+600=0

x(x-30)-20(x-30)=0

(x-30)(x-20)=0

x= 20 or 30

the numbers are 20 and 30

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y=50

1\x+1/y=12

x+y/xy=1/12

12(x+y)=xy

xy=600

we know that x+y is 50

and x*y is 600

when we know the sum and product of two numbers, check with the factors of product of the two numbers

600=2*300

2+300!=sum

as like

600=3*200!= sum

600=20*30

.....................

20+30=50

50=sum

so 20 and 30 are the numbers
