Rational numbers are real numbers which can be written in the form of p/q where p,q are integers and q ≠ 0.

Uses of rational numbers in our daily life:-

★We use taxes in the form of fractions.

★When you share a pizza or anything.

★When you completed home work half portion,you say that you completed 50% i.e.,1/2

★Interest rates on loans and mortgages.

★Interest on a savings accounts.

Uses of Rationals in Our Daily Life →

♦ They are used to share something among friends , Like if there are four friends and they want to divide a cake equally among themselves , then the quantity of cake that each friend will get will be one-fourth of the cake , That is a rational number 1/4.

♦ They are used by Banks greatly for calculation of Interest and loans.

♦ In Preparation of Statistics also , we use Rationals while we present the final report. Like , If we are giving report on how many person gave votes , The report will be like 3/4 of the total Population in the constituency.

♦ In TV commercials and Rationals are also used like 9 out of 10 women liked this purse and In ad of Toothpaste also if you must've noticed , "9 out of 10 doctors prefer This toothpaste" They are all examples of Rationals.

♦ And also in our class even if the chapter isn't Rationals we use them for calculation of different values ;-), So we use Rationals daily , It can be in any form . We just don't recognize it.☺
