4\frac{4}{5}  ÷  \frac{3}{5} of 5 + \frac{4}{5} × \frac{3}{10} - \frac{1}{5}

To find:

Solution:

In order to solve the above given simplification, we will use the rule of VBODMAS where

V : Vinculum or Bar

B : Brackets

O : Of / Order / Power / Indices  

D : Division

M : Multiplication

A : Addition

S : Subtraction

Therefore, we have

4\frac{4}{5}  ÷  \frac{3}{5} of 5 + \frac{4}{5} × \frac{3}{10} - \frac{1}{5}

= \frac{24}{5} ÷   \frac{3}{5} of 5 + \frac{4}{5} × \frac{3}{10} - \frac{1}{5}

=  \frac{24}{5} ÷   \frac{3}{5} × 5 + \frac{4}{5} × \frac{3}{10} - \frac{1}{5}

=  \frac{24}{5} ×   \frac{5}{3} × 5 + \frac{4}{5} × \frac{3}{10} - \frac{1}{5}  

according to the VBODMAS rule we will solve for multiplication first

=  40 +  \frac{12}{50} - \frac{1}{5}

=  40 +  \frac{6}{25} - \frac{1}{5}

we will solve for the addition

=  \frac{1000+6}{25} - \frac{1}{5}  

=   \frac{1006}{25} - \frac{1}{5}

we will solve for the subtraction

=   \frac{1006\: -\:5 }{25}

= \frac{1001}{25}
