\boxed{\underline{Hey\: mate!}}

\textbf{\underline{Question}} :-

 - 4 = \frac{x - 1}{3}

\textbf{\underline{Solution}} = \sf{ - 11 }

\textbf{\underline{Explanation}} :-

Since , 3 is dividing, so if we will take it to other side , it will multiply !

=> \bf{ - 4 \times 3 } = \bf{ x - 1}

=> \bf{ - 12 } = \bf{ x - 1}

Now , take 1 to other side, as it's negative so taking other side it will become positive!

=> \bf{ - 12 + 1 } = \bf{ x }

we know that, plus and minus results in minus ! so , 12 - 1 = 11 , 12 is greater and it's sign is negative so we will write the answer in negative form , i.e., -11.

=> \bf{ - 11} = \bf{ x }

Here's the answer

According to your question,

The Equation formed is as follows :-

 \sf{ - 4 =  \frac{x - 1}{3}}

Taking the denominator 3 on L. H. S,

 \sf{ - 4   \times 3 = x - 1}

 \sf {- 12 = x - 1}

Now,

Taking -1 to L. H. S ,

 \sf{ - 12 + 1 = x}

  \sf{- 11 = x}

Thus,
We got the value of x as -11

Thus,

Final answer =>

Value of x is -11.
