4/x+3y=14 ...(1)

3/x-4y=23....(2)

(1) × 4

  1. (2) × 3

16/x + 12y = 56 ...(3)

9/x - 12y = 69 ...(4)

(3) + (4)

25/x = 125

x = 25/125

x = 1/5

putting the value of x on (1)

4/x+3y=14

4/(1/5) + 3y = 14

20+ 3y = 14

3y = -6

y = -2

x = 1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

4/x+3y=14 ......(1)

3/x-4y=23.......(2)

(1).4 16/x+12y=56

(2).3 9/x-12y=69

25/x= 125

x=125/25

x=5

x=5 sub in (1)

3/5-4y=23

-4y=23-3/5

-4y=115-3/5

-4y=112/5

y=112/5.-4

y=112/-20

y=28/-4

y=-7
