hiii!!!

here's ur answer...

given :- 4x² + 9x + 5

==> 4x² + ( 5x + 4x ) + 5

==> 4x² + 5x + 4x + 5

>> 4x² + 5x = x ( 4x + 5 )

>> 4x + 5 = 1 ( 4x + 5 )

==> ( 4x + 5 ) ( x + 1 ) = 0

>> 4x + 5 = 0
>> 4x = -5
>> x = -5/4

>> x + 1 = 0
>> x = -1

x is -5/4 and -1

sum of the zeros = -5/4 + -1/1
= -5/4 + -4/4
= -9/4

product of the zeros = -5/4 × -1
= 5/4

hope this helps..!!

Hello user !

So here's u r answer !

_________________________________________

4x^2 + 9x +5 = 0

Let split the middle term !

4x^2 + 5x + 4x +5 = 0

4x^2 + 4x + 5x + 5 = 0

4x ( x + 1 ) + 5 ( x + 1 ) = 0

4x + 5 = 0 , x + 1 = 0

x = - 5 / 4 , x = - 1

Verification :-

Sum of zeroes :- - 5 / 4 + ( - 1 ) = - 9 / 4

Product of zeroes :- - 5 / 4 ( - 1 ) = 5 / 4
