Answer: {2(x - y) - 3} {2(x - y) - 3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let , (x - y) be n.

4n² - 12n + 9

= 4n² - 6n - 6n + 9

= 2n(2n - 3) - 3(2n - 3)

= (2n - 3) (2n - 3)

= (2n - 3)²

Now , put n = (x - y)

{ 2(x - y) - 3 }²

= { 2(x - y) - 3 } { 2(x - y) - 3 }
