40 litres of milk content 10% water. Find the quantity of water to be added to the milk so that it may contain 20% water​

Answer:

10 % water of 40 liters of milk

quantity of water = (10 × 40) ÷ 100

= 4 litre

Now, 20% = 10 % + 10%

20% = 4 + 4

20% = 8 litre

here, 8 litre of water added, so it contains20% of water in the milk.
