median = (n+1/2)

arrange data 5,7,10,14,15,21,28

number of observation 7

7+1/2 =8/2 =4

ao the media of following data is 4th observation which is 14

Answer:

M.Ex.(in) 0-175 175-350 350-525 525-700 700-875 875-1050 1050-1225

No.of Families 10 14 15 21 28 7 5

n = 100

Median =L+

G

(n/2)−B

×W

Median =252+

21

(50−39)

×175

Median =616.667

Where L = Lowers limit of median class

B = C.F of class before median class

G = Frequency of median class

W = class width

Mode L+=

(fm−fm−1)+(fm−fm+1)

fm−fm−1

×W

Mode =700+

21+7

×175

Mode =743.75

Where L = lower limit of model class

fm-1 = Freq.of class before

fm+1 = Freq.of class after

fm = Freq.of class modal

W = class width

Hopes it helps you.
