= apna mole / total mole .

and given information is in grams . therefore convert grams into moles by the formula

= mass / molar mass .

40 gram NaOH = 40/ 40 =1 mol

300 grams of water = 300/ 18= 16.7 mol.

now we have the moles , put them in formula and you will get the answer .

mole fraction of NaOH= APNA MOL / TOTAL MOLE .

= 1/16.7+1=0 .59

mole fraction of water = 16.7 / 16.7+1 =0.943 .
