 \frac{12}{x}  +  \frac{16}{y}  = 1

It takes 80 days for one man alone to complete the same work,

 \frac{12}{80}  +  \frac{16}{y}  = 1 \\  \frac{16}{y}  = 1 -  \frac{3}{20} \\  \frac{16}{y}   =  \frac{17}{20}  \\ y =  \frac{320}{17}  \: days

320/17 = 18.8235294 days would be required for one women alone to complete the same work.
