Dear Student,

● Answer -

(i) Edge of the cube = 150 cm

(ii) Total surface area of cube = 135000 cm^2

● Explanation -

When the cuboid is melted into cube, volume will remain same.

Volume of cuboid = Volume of cube

l × b × h = s^3

100 × 270 × 125 = s^3

s^3 = 3375000

Taking cube root,

s = 150 cm

Total surface area of cube is -

TSA = 6 × s^2

TSA = 6 × 150^2

TSA = 135000 cm^2

Thanks dear. Hope I helped...

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of the cuboid = volume of cube [i.e after melting the cuboid the volume will be same]

NOW,

substitute,

l×b×h=a³

337500=a³

a=150cm

Total surface area of the cube =6a²

=6×(150)²

=135000cm²
