Answer:   42 oranges are distributed among some boys and girls. If each boy gets 3 then each girl gets 6. But if each boy gets 6 and each girl gets 3, it needs 6 more  ( correction in Question)

To find : Number of girls is

Solution:

Let say Girls = G

& Boys = B

=>  3B + 6G  =  42

=> B +  2G = 14   Eq1

6B + 3G = 42 + 6

=> 6B +3G = 48

=> 2B + G =  16    Eq2

Eq1  + Eq2

3B + 3G  = 30

=> B + G = 10

   B + 2G = 14

=> 2G - G = 14 - 10

=> G = 4

number of girls is  4
