Define x:

Let the third person get x

Second persion = 0.5x

first person = 0.5(0.5x) = 0.25x

Solve x:

Total Sum = ₹4200

x + 0.5x + 0.25x = ₹4200

1.75x = 4200

x = 4200 ÷ 1.75

x = ₹2400

Find the amount of each share:

First Person = 0.25x = 0.25(2400) = ₹600

Second Person = 0.5x = 0.5(2400) = ₹1200

Third Person = x = ₹2400

Answer: First Person = ₹600, Second Person = ₹1200, Third Person = ₹2400

total amount to be shared = ₹4200

let the third person gets = ₹ x

second person gets = 50 % of x

= 0.5 × x = ₹0.5x

first person gets = 50% of the amount
that second person gets

= 50% of 0.5x = 0.5 × 0.5x = ₹0.25x

since , total amount = ₹4200

x + 0.5x + 0.25x = 4200

1.5x + 0.25x = 4200

1.75x = 4200 => 175x ÷ 100 = 4200

175x = 420000 => x = ₹2400

therefore ,

first person gets = ₹0.25x

= 0.25 × 2400 = ₹600

second person gets = ₹0.5x

= 0.5 × 2400 = ₹1200

third person gets = x = ₹2400

Answer:
--------------

1st person = ₹600, 2nd person = ₹1200
