The factors that affect the rate of a chemical reaction are:

1. Nature of the reactants: The rate of a reaction depends upon the reactivity of the reactants.

2. Size of the particles: The reaction is faster if the size of the particles involved is small and slower is size of the particles is large.

3. Concentration of the reactions: The reaction is faster if the reactants are concentrated and slower if the reactants are dilute.

4. Temperature of the reaction: The rate of the reaction increases as the temperature of the reaction increases.

5. Catalyst: Catalyst are the substances in whose presence the rate of chemical reaction changes, without causing any chemical changes to the reaction.
