use the equation, v = at to find the max velocity before it becomes constant ,

a × t= 10 m/s

distance travelled ,S1 = u^2 / 2a = 100/2 = 50m

then velocity is constant ,so distance travelled, S2 = v×t = 10 × 30 = 300m

then final velocity is zero as the object stops so u = 10 m/s and v = 0

find the acc first, v = at , a = v/t = 10/10 = 1m/s^2

now find out distance ...S3 = u^2 / 2a = 100/2 = 50m

so total distance travelled = S1 +S2+ S3 = 400 m
