44 cm wire and make a circle from it so find the radius and area of circle.

Solution :

Let, the radius of the circle = r cm

Then, its perimeter = 2πr cm

Given, 2πr = 44

⇒ πr = 22

⇒ r = 22/π = 22/(22/7)

⇒ r = 7

∴ the radius of the cirlce is 7 cm.

∴ the area of the circle is

= πr² cm²

= (22/7) * 7² cm²

= 22 * 7 cm²

= 154 cm²
