Let the number students in class be x, no. Of girls be G and boys be B.
x = G + B
Then according to the question
No. Of girls = 44 % of x
G = 11x/25
Also G = B- 6
B = G + 6
B = 11x/25 + 6
x= G+ B
x = 11x/25 + 11x/25 + 6
x = 22x/25 + 6
x - 22x/25 = 6
(25x - 22x )/25 = 6
3x = 6 • 25
x = 50
no of students is 50

hope this helps :))

Let total students be x. girls percentage = 44% of total students = (44/100)*x
so the boys = x- (44x/100) =56x/100
given : no of girls= no. of boys-6 44x/100 = (56x/100)-6
44x/100= (56x-600)/100
100 is cancelled from both the sides.
44x= 56x-600
44x-56x= - 600 -12x = - 600 x = - 600/ - 12= 50.
total students = 50
