45 roses,65 carnations and 50 tulips are used to prepare identical flower arrangements. what is the maximum number of such arrangements that can be prepared.

Since no flowers are to be left out, then the number of bouquets must be a factor of 45,65 and 50.

So find the greatest common factor of all three.

45 = 5*3*3

65 = 5*13

50 = 5*5*2

So 5 is what you are looking for.
