50x +20y =150 is equation 2

now multiplying 2 in equation 1 , we have

90x +60y =1000

again multiplying 3 in equation 2 ,we have ,

150x+60y =450

now subtracting equation 2 from equation 1

-60x =550

x = -550/60 = -55/6

now putting the value of x in equation 1

45×(-55/6) +30y =500

now solving the above we get the value of y
