Ans.
Here quotient is 6 & remainder 5
Because 7×6=42 & 47-42=5

Dividend=6×2+5
=42+5

Here's the answer !!

47 is not a perfect number and hence it is not divisible by 7 completely. We can get the remainder using Euclid's Division Lemma also.

Using Euclid's Divisions lemma, it states that,

Dividend = Divisor * Quotient + Remainder

Dividend = 47, Divisor = 7

So substituting in the equation we get,

47 = 7 * 6 + 5

Hence 7 * 6 = 42 and 42 + 5 = 47

Hence the quotient is 6 and the remainder is 5.
