Answer :

  • 15000 slabs are required to cover the floors
  • (B)

Given :

Measurements of floors :

  • Length = 12m = 1200 cm
  • Breadth = 10m = 1000 cm

Measurements of rectangular slab :

  • Length = 10cm
  • Breadth = 8cm

To find :

  • Number of rectangular slabs

Solution :

Given ,

Measurements of floors:

  • Length = 1200 cm
  • Breadth = 1000 cm

As we know that,

  • Area of floors = length × breadth

➼ 1200 × 1000

➼ 1200000 cm²

Also Given that ,

Measurements of rectangular slabs :

  • Length = 10cm
  • Breadth = 8cm

As we know that ,

  • Area of slab = length × breadth

➼ 10 × 8

➼ 80 cm²

Now ,

  • Number of slab to require to cover the floors = Area of floors / Area of rectangular slab

➼ 1200000/80

➼ 15000 slabs
