V(AB) = E/2
V(AC) = -E
● Explaintion -
All cells are connected in series, hence total resistance will be -
Req = r + r + r + r
Req = 4r
As one cell is connected with opposite polarity, total EMF is given by -
Eeq = E + E + E - E
Eeq = 2E
Now potential difference across AB is given by -
1/E(AB) = 1/E + 1/(E+E-E)
E(AB) = E/2
Now potential difference across AC is given by -
E(AC) = -E
