Heya user,
--> x = a, is a zero of the Polynomial f(x) if and only if f(a) = 0;
So, we put f(a) = 0;
=> 4a² + 4a + 1 = 0
=> [ 2a + 1 ]² = 0
=> a = -1/2
Hence, f(-1/2) = 0, and so,
x = -1/2 is the only zero of the Polynomial f(x) = 4x² + 4x + 1;
