$4x {}^{2} - (p - 2)x + 1 = 0 \\ 4x { }^{2} - px + 2x + 1 = 0 \\ if \: x = 1 \: then \\4 - p + 2 + 1 = 0 \\ 7 - p = 0$

$p = 7$
