Answer:

4x+2y=7...............(1)eq

x=7-2y/4

x+3y=5................(2)eq

now put the value of 'x' in eq (2)

ie.,7-2y/4+3y=5

7-2y+12y/4=5

7+10y=20

ie.,y=13/10.......(3)

now put the value of y in eq(1)

4x+2×13/10=7

4x+13/5=7

4x=35-13

x=22/4

ie.,x=11/2 and y=13/10

4x+2y=7 (equation one)

x+3y=5(equation two)

substitution method

x+3y=5

=x=5-3y

substitute x=5-3y in first equation

4x+2y=7

4(5-3y)+2y=7

20-12y+2y=7

20-10y=7

-10y=7-20

-10y=-13

y=13/10

y=1.3

substitute y =1.3 in equation 2

x+3y=5

x+3(1.3)=5

x+3.9=5

x=1.1

therefore x=1.1 and y=1.3

if u find this is difficult method , I will show u an easier method

by elimination method

4x+2y=7 ( eq1)

1x+3y=5 ×4 =4x+12y=20 (eq2)

4x+2y=7

4x+12y=20

(-). (-). (-). ( subtract equation 1 and 2)

-10y=-13

y=13/10

y=1.3

and x=1.1

if u want to do this in graph,

4x+2y=7

2y=7-4x x=2 , 4 , 6

y=7/2-2x y=-0.5 , 4.5 , 8.5

x+3y=5

y=5-x/3. x=2 , 8 , 14

y=1 , -1 , -3

and then mark these two on the graph you will either get intersecting line( when the two lines intersect at one point) , parallel lines ( it will not intersect ) , coinciding lines .

plz mark as brainiest if you liked my answer
